By 2008, the company had achieved great success, as NASA gave up its space shuttle and contracted with it to transport supplies and equipment to the International Space Station (ISS), and the company intends to transport astronauts in the future.

Musk took a new adventure by creating Tesla Motors, a company dedicated to the production of electric cars on a global scale, and in 2008 the company revealed a sports car called the Roadster capable of accelerating from zero to 96 kilometers per hour in 3.7 seconds, and it was also equipped with a lithium-ion battery Enough to cover 400 km after each charge. This company has been supported by the German company Dailmer and Toyota.

After that, the company achieved another success after launching the Model S as the first family electric car capable of covering 426 kilometers per charge, and it also won the 2013 Car of the Year award by Motor Trend magazine.

In 2017, SpaceX opened the door to a new kind of space flight when it succeeded in achieving a successful launch and landing of a Falcon 9 rocket made from old reusable parts.

Musk continued his hard work to bring his creative ideas to reality. In August 2013, he unveiled the new Hyperloop concept, which will transport passengers at a speed of 1,126 kilometers per hour to speed up the process of moving between important cities, especially in times of heavy congestion, and this system will also be safer than travel At an estimated cost of $6 billion by planes or trains — a significant number equal to a tenth of the cost of the rail system that California plans to build — Musk said the idea would take seven to 10 years to be built and ready for use.

Musk recently developed a clear interest in artificial intelligence, becoming co-chair of the nonprofit research firm OpenAI, which was founded in late 2015 with the goal of developing digital intelligence for humanity. In 2017, Musk ventured into launching the Neuralink project, with the intent of making implantable devices into the human brain to help people integrate with technology.

Because of Musk's constant pursuit of permanent energy and its delivery to a wider range of consumers, he signed a $2.6 billion contract in August 2016 to merge Tesla with a solar energy company, and Tesla announced the purchase of all shares of SolarCity (a company that Musk built With the close help of its establishment in 2006), and by integrating solar energy with storage capacity, it became possible to produce integrated commercial products that improve the mechanism of generation, storage and consumption of energy.
