Amal Clooney , Zohra Joya, Casey Musgraves, Kerry Washington, Tracy Choo, Alison Felix, Adina Friedman, Amanda Gorman, Sherilyn Evil, Jenny Joseph, Amanda Nguyen and Michaela J. Rodriguez have been named this year's top leaders .
Each character was identified for different reasons, the magazine said. Joya, who fled the Taliban, now tells stories about Afghan women. Nguyen works to ensure that survivors of abuse find justice. The magazine added that the 12 women will be honored at a ceremony on March 8, International Women's Day in Los Angeles.
