While Villarreal blew up a big surprise by ascending to the Champions League quarter-finals, at the expense of its host Juventus, after defeating it 3-0 at its home at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, Italy.

Villarreal outperformed Juventus (4-1) by the total result of the two legs, after the first leg ended in a 1-1 draw on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at La Ceramica Stadium in Villarreal.
