The first round of African qualifiers for the World Cup finals ended in Qatar at the end of this year, with positive results for all Arab teams.

10 African teams are competing to win five cards, which is the whole of the continent's share in the World Cup, and Arab teams represent 40 percent of the teams competing for the World Cup cards.

Positive results

Morocco national team

Morocco opened the Arab Golden Day in the World Cup qualifiers in Africa with a positive draw with Congo away (1-1).
Uni Faisa advanced to the Congo in the 12th minute with a surprising goal against the direction of play, but Morocco equalized with the goal of Tariq Tisoudali in the 76th minute.
The return match will be held in Casablanca with a full audience presence next Tuesday. The Atlas Lions need a goalless draw or win by any result to win the World Cup ticket.
Sports analysts considered that the task has become easy for the Atlas Lions, especially since the meeting will take place in front of more than 50 thousand Moroccan fans, which will give the players a great moral incentive to maintain the result of the go, and why not win and guarantee qualification.

Tunisia national team

And luck smiled on Tunisia in its match against Mali, after defender Moussa Sissako shot the ball into his net by mistake to give the Carthage Eagles a valuable victory with a clean goal.
Tunisia needs to draw next Tuesday in its stadium or win any result to get the World Cup ticket.

Algeria national team

In Cameroon, Algeria showed its true face, and won in the home of the Lions with a score of (1-0) through Islam Slimani.
Algeria only needs a draw or a win in order to qualify for the World Cup in the return leg next Tuesday.
Sports critic Ahmed Farouk, in an interview with "Sky News Arabia", commented on Algeria's superiority, saying that "Green" was the best party in front of the Lions of Cameroon.
Farouk added: "The Cameroon national team took on more than its size during the last African Nations Cup, and it is not compared to the Algerian team, which is better in everything and has the greatest chance of reaching the World Cup."

Egyptian team

The Egyptian team concluded the wonderful Arab day in the World Cup qualifiers by achieving a valuable and difficult victory over Senegal, the first-ranked African and continental champion, with a clean goal at Cairo Stadium.
Egypt received a gift from Senegal defender Salio Cisse, who mistakenly turned the ball into his own net after Salah's shot hit the post in the fourth minute of the match.
The Pharaohs will face a difficult challenge in Dakar next Tuesday, as the Teranga Lions seek to win two clean goals in order to qualify for the World Cup, while the Egyptian team is trying to achieve a draw by any result or win to ascend to the World Cup for the second time in a row for the first time in its history.
Ahmed Farouk said that the Egyptian team did the best it could against Senegal, given the superiority of the guests individually and technically over the Pharaohs.
He continued, "The Senegal team is one of the best teams in the world, not only in Africa. Dealing with an opponent of this strength needed intelligence and defensive brilliance, as happened to the line of defense of the Egyptian team."

Farouk ended his speech by saying: "Despite the technical superiority of Senegal after receiving the goal, I expect Egypt to continue to excel in the second leg and to reach the World Cup finals."
